Who I am

My name is Giordano Passini. I'm a professional photographer and videomaker, drone pilot and FPV drone pilot.

But first of all, I'm someone who needs to leave.

I learned early on that you don't understand a place by looking at it — you understand it by feeling it. Every place has a frequency, a rhythm, a smell in the air that no travel guide will ever be able to describe. My job is to stay quiet enough to perceive it, and awake enough to capture it before it fades.

With the camera, with the drone, with my eye — I'm always looking for the same thing: the moment a place stops being a backdrop and becomes an emotion.

Il Taste of is a format about how places move through us.

Every place I tell about has left something inside me — a feeling, a question, a disorientation I can't shake off. Socotra, with its alien light and trees that look drawn by a child. Iceland, which makes you feel small in the right way, the kind that puts you at peace with the world.

I tell all of this through aerial images, FPV footage and photography. I'm also a trained musician and colorist — and that's not a minor detail. It means every video I create is born from the precise intention of making you feel something: images, sound and color work together, built to move you before you've even understood why.

Not to show you how beautiful a place is. To make you feel what it's like to be there.
